Excellence Award winners

Our President and VFX Supervisor Félix Bergés and our VFX Supervisor Laura Pedro have been awarded an Excellence Award from the European Film Academy for their work on Society of the Snow. J. A. Bayona's film, which will be released in theaters on December 15 and on Netflix on January 4, has been recognized with two awards in the categories of Best Visual Effects and Best Makeup and Hairstyling. The European Film Awards (EFA) celebrate their 36th edition this year and will be presented on December 9 in Berlin. The jury noted that "in this drama based on the true events of the plane that crashed in the Andes in 1972, we never question what we see on screen. The excellent visual effects and a very well-done composition make everything look like it was shot on location and that it all happened while the cameras were there. The illusion is not broken at any point in the footage". From El Ranchito we want to congratulate Felix and Laura, but also the whole team of our company that has participated in Society of the Snow, led by our VFX Supervisor Ezequiel Larrú and our VFX Producer Carolina Pinillos.
