Art and Craft in Cervantes Institute

Our VFX Supervisor Isaac de la Pompa has participated in the Art and Craft series organized by the Film Academy and the Cervantes Institute. The cycle, aimed at high school students, dedicates each of its days to a film trade (direction, interpretation, script, sound, editing...), projecting a Spanish film and holding a subsequent dialogue with a professional in the sector. Isaac was invited to participate in the day dedicated to special effects, in which 90 students from 4th year of ESO and 1st year of Baccalaureate were able to see the film by J. Bayona A Monster Calls, for which El Ranchito won a Goya and in which De la Pompa served as CGI Supervisor. After the screening, the fantastic story writer Patricia Esteban Erlés presented A Monster Calls and The Exterminating Angel, by Luis Buñuel, which the students had already seen in class, and had a talk with Isaac de la Pompa in which he spoke about the trade of a visual effects artist, about his professional experience and about the work of El Ranchito in J Bayona's film.
