A Goya for The Vault

El Ranchito has achieved its ninth Goya thanks to its VFX Supervisor Laura Pedro, who has been awarded the Best Special Effects award for The Vault together with veteran mechanical effects specialist Pau Costa. For Laura, this is her second Goya: she won it for the first time in 2019 for Superlópez, becoming the first VFX Supervisor recognized in this category. Laura Pedro dedicated her award to the entire El Ranchito team that worked on The Vault under her supervision and that of Félix Bergés, CEO of the company and holder of eight Goyas. Directed by Jaume Balagueró, The Vault tells the story of an astonishing robbery of the Bank of Spain in the summer of 2010, just as Spain won the World Cup.
