Created in 2021, ELR Training is the training program developed by El Ranchito to introduce visual effects academy students to the industry and bridge the gap between the end of the academic period and the beginning of the professional stage.
The ELR Training program is classroom-based and lasts six months, divided into two stages of three months. Students receive classroom training designed to give them first-hand contact with the techniques, details and aspects of the working tools used in a VFX studio.
In the first stage, participants receive classes taught by professionals from El Ranchito and they put into practice the techniques learned by doing exercises with shots.
The second stage focuses on working with materials and real production situations. To this end, shots are selected from El Ranchito's ongoing productions in order to involve them in a work dynamic identical to that of a real production. Supervisors evaluate the quality of the shots and guide them on how to improve the results.
COMPLETION
At the end of the training period, participants are issued an internship certificate from El Ranchito. Depending on their performance and our current staffing needs, they are offered the possibility of joining El Ranchito's staff as juniors.
