Going for the Goya once more

Our VFX Supervisor Laura Pedro has once again been nominated for a Goya Award in the Best Special Effects category for Javier Ruiz Caldera and Alberto Toro's film Valley of The Dead. This is the third nomination for Laura, who has two Goyas to her credit with El Ranchito for Superlópez and The Vault, and she shares it again with special effects specialist Lluis Rivera. In the case of El Ranchito, it is his fifteenth nomination and, if he wins it, it would be his tenth Goya, which would be added to those obtained by films such as A Monster Calls, The Impossible or Agora. The 37th Goya Awards Ceremony of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain will take place on February 11, 2023 at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos FIBES in Seville, presented by actors Antonio de la Torre and Clara Lago.
